To the Friends and Family of the Late Neil Flanigan MBE,
It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that I write to you on behalf of the West Indian Association of Service Personnel. We have lost a monumental figure in Neil Flanigan MBE, whose legacy as our first Chairman and a lifelong member will forever be etched in the annals of our association’s history.
Neil was not just a leader; he was the embodiment of dedication, service, and unity. His relentless commitment to advocating for the rights and recognition of West Indian service personnel has paved the way for the many strides we have made as a community. His wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support have been instrumental in shaping the direction and success of our association.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Neil was a friend, mentor, and source of inspiration to us all. His warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter brought light into our lives. He had an uncanny ability to uplift and motivate everyone around him, always encouraging us to strive for excellence and to support each other.
As we mourn the loss of a true pioneer, we also celebrate the remarkable life that Neil lived. His contributions to our association and the wider community are immeasurable, and his spirit will continue to inspire future generations. We are deeply grateful for Neil’s service, friendship, and the indelible mark he has left on our hearts.
